About Me
Hi, I'm Michaelle! 😊
After working as a Professional Tattoo Artist for 9 years,
I decided to transition into the Tech Field by way of UX Design!

Client relations as a Tattoo Artist are similar to UX Designers relationship with the user:
We both put the client/user's needs first!

I also believe that collaborating with stakeholders is similar to the brainstorming aspect of composing a design that follows aesthetics as well as function, not only do we make things pretty - but ensure that they follow the composition of the body and hold up as best as they can for that particular body/skin type/complexion over time.
I find the possibilities and opportunities of the Tech world fascinating. A complementary contrast to the ancient craft of Tattooing. Interestingly enough, my background and transferable skills has equipped me for both!

I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where I also studied Renaissance art abroad in Florence, Italy.

As a freelance designer, I’ve crafted logos, rebranded businesses, and even created murals that brought spaces to life. My art has taken me across the globe, live painting at festivals in Arizona, Colorado, and Costa Rica.

I gained corporate experience in graphic design and marketing for a tech company and a NYC commercial real estate firm. My creative journey then led me to a nine-year Tattoo career, that included opportunities to work with world-class talent and Tattoo on Virgin Voyages Cruise Ships. I opened my own private studio in June 2024 in Brooklyn, NY: Where I live with my pet snake Atlas.

Now, eager to dive into UX design and creating interactive, user-friendly experiences; I’d love for you to check out my resume and my work on this website!
I hope we can collaborate on something amazing in the future!
Michaelle
